Industrial Automation Training Series – Session 2: PLC Programming
Ready to move from understanding PLCs to learning how they are programmed?
Join us for the second session of the Industrial Automation & PLC Training Series, delivered in collaboration with Synkron. This session builds on the concepts introduced in Session 1 and takes participants into the fundamentals of PLC programming and control logic.
Participants will explore how PLCs receive information from inputs, process control logic, and use outputs to control machines and industrial processes. The session will also introduce ladder logic, one of the most widely used programming methods in industrial automation.
Topics covered:
• PLC programming concepts
• Inputs, outputs, and control logic
• Introduction to ladder logic
• Basic PLC programming examples
• How PLCs interact with machines and industrial processes
Whether you are new to PLC programming or looking to strengthen your understanding of industrial automation, this session will provide a foundation for progressing towards practical PLC applications.
Date: Tuesday, 6 October 2026
Time: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM EAT
Mode: Online
This session is open to IEEE members and students interested in industrial automation, control systems, electrical and electronic engineering, mechatronics, and related fields.
