Workshop on Sensing, Measurement and Instrumentation for Healthcare, Food, Agriculture, Energy, Environment and Security

The IEEE IMS New Zealand Chapter Workshop is an annual national event that brings together researchers, students, academics, and industry professionals working in instrumentation and measurement and related areas.

The workshop provides an important face-to-face forum for sharing research, discussing emerging technologies, strengthening professional networks, and encouraging collaboration across New Zealand’s geographically distributed technical community.

The 2026 workshop will be hosted at Victoria University of Wellington and will include invited industry presentations, postgraduate research presentations, and opportunities for networking and discussion. The event aims to strengthen connections between academia and industry while providing students and early-career researchers with an opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas, and engage with the wider IEEE community.

Abstracts should be 250 words and must include the title and the presenter’s name and affiliation. Submission and registration details are provided on the workshop webpage. Registration/sponsorship includes workshop attendance, lunch, morning/afternoon teas and a workshop networking buffet.
