The IEEE Algeria Solid-State Circuits Chapter is organizing a hands-on technical training session dedicated to undergraduate and graduate students interested in embedded systems, digital control, power electronics, electrical engineering, and related fields.

The training will introduce participants to the Texas Instruments LAUNCHXL-F28379D LaunchPad™ development kit, based on the C2000™ Delfino™ TMS320F28379D microcontroller. The platform is particularly suited to high-performance real-time control applications, including power electronic converters, motor drives, renewable energy systems, and industrial control.

The training will combine introductory theoretical concepts with practical laboratory exercises. Participants will become familiar with the hardware architecture of the F28379D, the development environment, GPIO configuration, analog-to-digital conversion (ADC), pulse-width modulation (PWM), interrupts, and real-time signal acquisition and control.

Through progressive hands-on exercises, students will learn how to configure, program, debug, and test embedded control applications using the LaunchPad. Where appropriate, practical examples related to power electronics and renewable energy applications will be introduced to demonstrate how the acquired skills can be transferred to real engineering and research problems.

The training is designed to accommodate both undergraduate students seeking their first experience with advanced microcontrollers and graduate students interested in developing real-time control platforms for research and experimental validation.
