Happy IEEE Day - from Milestones to Makers
Almost one hundred and fifty years ago, a group of engineers came together to set the framework for the sharing of knowledge and promotion of technology that would become the modern IEEE. Join us to learn how the achievements of the past are laying the groundwork for future of technology. Learn about local achievements and their role in securing the future we currently enjoy. We will take a virtual milestone tour and see how we prepare to inspire the future generation of engineers.
No birthday would be complete without refreshments and we will have pizza and birthday cake! (In person attendees are asked to register for this free event to ensure that no one goes hungry.)
Any current member who brings a potential new member who joins by October 17 (Deadline for $30 IEEE Discount for professional members. Student membership is already highly discounted.) Will get a Daypack to hold their IEEE materials. Students who bring in new students are eligible to receive the promotion for a new student member as well as new professional members (one promotion per member).
Come celebrate the birthday of IEEE and learn how to be part of the future.
Room 1625 is near Door 37 and Parking Lot C. There will be a Food Truck Event on Campus Friday night so there will be additional traffic on campus. Feel free to supplement the pizza and cake with food struck offerings.
