As part of IEEE Day 2026, the IEEE Student Branch at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, Cuenca Campus, invites students to celebrate with a hands-on social activity: decorating their own guagua de pan, a traditional Ecuadorian bread associated with Día de Difuntos.
This event aims to strengthen community among members and non-members, promote networking between students from different programs, and introduce IEEE and its student branch to potential new members, combining local culture with the spirit of the IEEE community.
Participants will receive a guagua de pan to decorate, along with a free coffee, in a relaxed and collaborative environment at the IEEE Student Branch office. The event will close with a special community activity to celebrate IEEE Day together. Registration is required for logistical purposes and the group is small to ensure everyone enjoys the experience.
