Wei-Lung Wu of Assistant Professor, Air Force Institute of Technology, R.O.C., Kaohsiung, Taiwan

Biography:

Wei-Lung Wu received his B.S. degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology, R.O.C., in 2007, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2015 and 2021, respectively. He has been with the Air Force Institute of Technology since 2014, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor.

His research interests include RF and microwave circuits, millimeter-wave radar systems, low-phase-noise frequency synthesizers, and physiological signal sensing technologies. His recent research focuses on non-contact vital-sign monitoring using millimeter-wave radar, arterial pulse waveform and vascular dynamics analysis, sensing of bladder volume and contraction-related changes, and complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR)-based dielectric characterization of flowing aqueous glucose solutions.

His work aims to integrate RF circuit design, electromagnetic sensing, and digital signal processing technologies, extending conventional microwave and antenna technologies to non-contact biomedical sensing applications. His research contributes to interdisciplinary developments in biomedical engineering, intelligent healthcare monitoring, and advanced sensing systems.
