Energy and R&D Tax Credits for Businesses
Federal Tax Credits in Engineering Practice

On Thursday, May 19, 2011 the IEEE Consultants' Network of Northern NJ (www.technologyontap.org) will hold a meeting featuring a presentation by Philip Drudy on relationship between Federal Tax Credits and engineering practice.

ABOUT THE TOPIC

Phil Drudy, a Member of the Firm of Smolin Lupin & Co, PA, will speak on the current state of Federal Tax Credits and how they can benefit an engineering practice.

Specifically, Phil will discuss the benefits of assisting clients and firms in the utilization of Research and Development Expenditure credit. Also, Phil will discuss the changing horizon of the various energy credits and special deductions as well as the current federal and state mandates.

Finally, Phil will open a discussion on how IEEE members can position themselves to generate business with accounting firms.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Philip Drudy is a licensed CPA in New York, a Juris Doctor graduate of Brooklyn Law
School, and has been practicing public accounting since 1981. He has worked for national, regional and Big Four firms and is currently a Member of Smolin Lupin & Co, PA, offering his substantial expertise in many aspects of tax law, including representation in front of the IRS, complex corporate compliance and structuring, and succession planning. He is a recognized speaker and writer on various business tax topics, including energy credits and going green.
