[Legacy Report] High Performance Filtering Technologies
From Admiral Byrd’s polar exploration in the 1930’s to NASA’s Apollo space program, Collin Radio played a key role. At the heart of these efforts was the drive for innovation combined with motivation for the highest quality and reliability. One of the key performance metrics in any radio is selectivity. Collins Radio in the 1950’s invented and produced a mechanical filter which dramatically improved the performance and capability of radios. Today Rockwell Collins continues on with this tradition of innovation, providing discriminating radio performance. In cooperation with the Defense Advanced Research Program Agency (DARPA), universities and national labs, Rockwell Collins has developed high-performance filtering technologies.
