PSCAD/EMTDC(tm)is a time domain simulation tool for studying transient behaviour of electrical networks. The purpose of this workshop is to familiarize and give hands-on experiacne with PSCAD and its applications in power systems. This platform is very widely used in simulation study of power system, power electronic design and simulation, power quality analysis, protection and electrical utility system planning studies etc. Large variety of power system components are available and new components if required can be developed using PSCAD script or programming languages like FORTRAN and C.
Several case studies will be demonstrated using PSCAD in the area of power quality, harmonic analysis and power system protection together with applications of PSCAD with power electronics modules in power systems.
