[Legacy Report] GSM type coding detection in speech

An idea of speaker recognition/identification based on the analysis of telephone calls was discussed and it was shown that it can be improved if the involved speech coders are properly detected. Detection of the GSM full rate coding was presented. Necessity of real time detection requires speech signal segmentation. It was analyzed using Matlab/Simulink environment. Results of experiments with the selected speech samples proved efficiency of the proposed coding detection approach.
