One of the most distinct differences between Cognitive Radio (CR) and CR Networks (CRNs) is the extension of cognitive environments from single-domain environment (i.e. wireless domain) to multi-domain (i.e., wireless-domain, network-domain, user-domain and policy-domain) environments. In this presentation, the system model of multi-domain cognition will be introduced and now, we are making use of the multi-domain cognitive framework to address the issue of spectrum sensing and decision for spectrum-heterogeneous CRNs. Some new methods are proposed and simulation results are shown. In the future, we will continue to investigate the network-heterogeneous and user-heterogeneous issues
