Technical Presentation on Engineering Current and Next Generation Robotics and Prosthetics

Stuart Harshbarger, an IEEE member and the Chief Technology Officer at Contineo Robotics LLC will speak to members of IEEE, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and others Tuesday Sept 25 at ExonMobil 3225 Gallows Road, Fairfax, VA 22037 in Fairfax, VA.

The talk will include methods for achieving improved injury prevention and rehabilitation outcomes through the application of dual-use technologies, new technology, materials, structural, and mechanical aspects of newer prosthetics, the electrical engineering challenges to low voltage, low current, human-device interfaces and both state of the art and likely future directions in robotics for gripping and manipulation.

Directions can be provided to RSVP if requested. Please plan to arrive between 6:15-6:30 PM. The meeting will start @ 7 PM sharp.
