This meeting was held on June 30,2012 at the premises of Neuchâtel's Astronomical Observatory, in conjunction with the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Hirsch
Pavillon,where the exact local time was determined for many years by observation of the
sun trasition across the local meridian (noon signal).
A book resuming the history of this chronometrical service (in french) was written by Dr.Lucien Trueb (former NZZ Science & Technology Editor) and presented at the event.
