[Legacy Report] 'Student Poster Presentation Contest' conducted by IIT-Roorkee IEEE MTT17 SBC
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Roorkee's IEEE MTT17 Student Branch Chapter organized a student poster presentation competition on 'Technology Day' (11-May-2013) at Electronics and Communication (E&CE) Engineering Department of IIT-Roorkee. Entries from students of various institutes/universities were invited in areas of RF/Microwave/mm-wave engineering, Analog/RF IC design, RF MEMS, Communication and Signal Processing. Fifteen entries were selected and participants presented their individual work through respective posters. Top three entries were awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 1500, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 (two teams won third prize and, thus, received Rs. 500 each).
Further, for the benefit of participants and attendees, two Keynote talks were presented before the contest by two of the eminent and dynamic faculties of IIT-Roorkee, Prof. M. V. Kartikeyan and Prof. Anand Bulusu on 'Gyrotron for Clean Energy' and 'Transistor Sizing for RF CMOS Circuits', respectively. This acquainted us all with the current happenings in the two domains.
