This Workshop/seminar aims to bring together academic scientists, and scholars on a common platform to discuss recent issues in Green & ICT Computing and information technology affairs. To create awareness among the students community. Academics, researchers, to save the earth in the view of global warming and latest work being done in the area of computing Sustainability, defined by its Economic, Societal and Environmental axes, is clearly one of the major challenges of our societies in the next future. Industry, and more specifically manufacturing, is highly concerned with this challenge. In this context, the goal of this special issue is to investigate how recent innovations in ICT - e.g. ambient intelligence, intelligent product, semantic web ,social networks, cloud computing etc. - may help the industrial sector to address these challenges.
