[Legacy Report] 2013 AGM IEEE ACT Night
AGM was held after a Distinguished Lecturer's Speech. Dr Alex Zelinsky Chief Scientist was the keynote DL speaker. This was the 25th IEEE ACT's Anniversary. Members and their colleagues, families and potential members were invited by web and e-notices. The talk was based on members' interests. The first TISP test case for IEEE ACT was offered as part of children's activities. Food and drinks were included for those registered.

Chief Defence Scientist Dr Alex Zelinsky, head of the Defence Science and Technology
Organisation, provides insights into leadership and innovation drawn from his career spanning
scientific and industrial research and development, commercial start-ups, education and defence
science. He will share 7 key lessons in innovation and leadership.

venue.

Following on from IEEE Teachers Training (TISP) Program, IEEE ACT presents "Be an Engineer
for the Night" for school aged children. There will be activities aligned with the Australian Science
and Technology Curriculum.
Attached is the map of the location of the AGM Building and the Huxley Lecture Theatre.

Some 18 kids from 4-5 schools came with their parents to attend the TISP event only but did not stay for the other events of the night.
Some 18 people who are non members came to join into the talk and there was a total of 60 people who attended the DL talk.
Some 50 people people attended the AGM which was carried out amidst food and drinks because it was getting rather too late.
