Biography:

Shri. Purushothaman Seetharaman completed his B.Tech in ECE from Pondicherry University and currently he is pursuing his M.S (by research) leading to Ph.D in Microwave Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Trichy. He joined as a Scientist in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO at Trivandrum in the year of 2004. In Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, he has responsible for design and development of various RF checkout systems and RF measurements for India’s adored launch vehicles like PSLV, GSLV etc., Presently he is associated in ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore which is the key centre for satellite realization for Indian space program for various applications. Currently he is involved in various design and developments of antennas for Compact range applications and satellite antenna characterisation & measurements. He is also responsible for RF characterization of satellite onboard antenna and payload characterization at spacecraft level in state art facility i.e. Compact Antenna Test Facility (CATF), ISRO. His immerse contribution includes India’s pride missions like Mars Obiter mission (Mangalyaan), IRNSS (NAVIC), PSLV and GSLV etc. He is also involved in various technological development programs (TDP’s) for ISRO’s future projects. He has advisory committee member and chaired many conference session at various engineering institutes. He is passionate about to educate and motivate the student community in the field of space research and its educations. He has technically supported many scientific program activities in school and college level to create awareness among the students to pursue their careers in engineering research area. He has delivered more no. of technical invited talk in various institutions and forums. His area of interests includes microwave engineering, Satellite communication, Metamaterial based antenna, Multi antenna for communication, Spacecraft Antenna measurements etc.
