SHARK TANK: The event Shark tank was organized by IEEE RIT in association with AMD. It took place on 7th October 2018 on Sunday in Hi-tech Seminar Hall, DES block at MSRIT. It started at 12 PM and went on upto 4:30 PM. There were more than 18 teams who registered. It was amazing, and more and more people came with their own ideas to build up society in protective ways. Ideas presented were reviewed by the judges and feedback was given on the same. It provided platform to young and energetic youths to present own ideas.

HEADS OR TAILS: The event Heads or Tails was organized on 7th of October at Ramaiah Institute of Technology in ESB small seminar hall. The event started at 10 am and went on till 1 pm .It was an inter college event and was based on hypothetical business model followed by a questionnaire. There were total 20 teams who participated in the event out of which 7 teams qualified for the second round and two winners were declared

Int main( ): Int main( ) was basically a coding event held exclusively for first and second year students conducted on Hackerrank website, it was an inter college event which was held in DES stimulation lab and Intel lab as a part of Aavishkaar 2018, around 85 people i.e. roughly 42 teams had turned up for this event that was held on 7th October from 1:20 PM to 4:20 PM. The comfort level of this event was very high, because participants could choose the programming language in which they wish to answer or solve the problem statements which were quite innovative thus it led to a healthy competition between the participants. There was also a facility of live scoreboard where participants could view their live score and get to know where they stood amidst other teams.

TECH JAM: Just-A-Minute (or  JAM)  is  an  all-round-fun event  that  is  all  about  the  control  of  the mind  over  the  mouth.  Can you make it through sixty seconds of non-stop talking without hesitation, repetition, or deviation?  Or will the sheer pressure make you crumble and have your competitors pounce on  you  in  an  instant? Tech jam took place in the ESB seminar hall  at  3 in the  afternoon on the  second day of  Aavishkaar. The event was judged by Anirudh and Pavan who were  the  best  speakers  of  TNNLS  Parliamentary debate  2018.  There were around 25 participants who competed in two rounds. In the first round or the qualifiers the contestants were given a  technical  topic  and a  small  description of  it  2 minutes  before they  could  talk  about  it  for  a  minute  each. 7 contestants were qualified for the second round where they were given a situation and had to discuss about the same for a minute. The event ended successfully around 5 PM.

HACKTRONICS: The event hackatronics was organized under AMD presents AAVISHKAAR 2018 on 7th of October at RAMAIAH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. The event started at 9 am and went on till 7pm. It was an inter college event and was based on making Innovative working models from the components which were provided. The events had a total of 12 teams. When they came they were provided with the components and assigned their respective places. They worked on their models and prepared a total of 12 models: gesture control car, robotic arm, garbage monitoring system, automatic railway system, tik tak toe engine, voltmeter, capacitive paper piano, automatic restaurant system, acoustic levitation, pothole fillers, health monitoring system and self-balancing robot. At last judges went to check their models one by one and asked to explain their models. The teams presented their models.

GETTING QUIZZE: The event Getting Quizzie was organized under AMD presents Aavishkaar 2018 on 7th of october 2018. The event started at 10:00 AM and ended at 1 PM. The event was witnessed by a whooping participation of over 50 teams. There was a total of four rounds beginning with the preliminary round in which question related to big tech giants, computer software and hardware AMD many more were asked. It was really exciting to see how neck to neck the competition was with each team quizzing for the ultimate prize.

DOTA 2: The event Dota2 was organized as part of Aavishkaar 2018. The event was held on 6th of October, the first day of the flagship fest of IEEE, RIT and lasted for two days i.e. till 7th October. Timings of the event were from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. A qualifier round was conducted before the main event out of which 5 teams could make it to the main round. There were over 20 participants who were present at the main event as 1 team was disqualified for not turning up. The participants had great fun at this fun filled event. The rules were simple, and all the games were played in Captains mode. This event was open for all engineering students. After two days of continuous gaming finally 3 teams were declared as winners.
