National Level IEEE WIE Leadership Symposium-2019
Women in Engineering Affinity Group (WIE-AG), IEEE Hyderabad Section is conducting a Two day National level event on "Women’s Leadership Symposium"-A Multidimensional Awareness Program on Legal, Cultural and Financial Aspects, at Vignan’s Foundation for Science Technology and Research (VFSTR), Vadlamudi, Guntur, A.P. The symposium is directed towards capacity building of women by generating awareness on the impediments standing in their way in taking up higher leadership roles.
The Symposium has a galore of events in store for you. Plenary talks, Panel Discussions, Poster Presentations and Workshop by eminent experts on Financial Management promises to make the two days an exciting and a rich learning experience. The organizers take pleasure in inviting all aspirational and career conscious women who wish to do responsible roles and grow professionally in their respective organizations.

Gender Sensitivity
Ms. V. G. Bhooma, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntur Division, spoke on the topic of Gender Sensitivity. She mentioned the difference between sex and gender. “Sex is what you have from the birth, but the gender is what you made from the behavioural aspects”, she mentioned. She also added, “Feminism is not about shouting for the rights of the women instead, caring for other women”.

They created awareness among the participants on various saving methods like shares, online common banking schemes like Vidhya Laxmi etc. At the end QA section is more attractive to clear the doubts expressed by the audience.
