NASA Sofia Program

Scott will provide personal insight into the NASA Sofia Program and their Boeing 747 SP aircraft which has a large telescope mounted in the rear.

Current Position:  IEEE Region 5 Life Member Coordinator and Member, The IEEE Life Member Committee (appointed Activity Coordinator).

 

He is a Life Sr. Member of the IEEE (50 years).  He has served in many positions, including:  Section, Region 5, Communications Society and as Vice Chair, the IEEE Member & Geographic Activities Board.

 

He has 40+ years of experience in telecommunications and information technology. 

 

Position titles included: engineer, consultant, consulting engineer, department manger, and executive management. 

 

He holds a B. S. Degree in Physics from Texas A&M University Kingsville, Texas and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, plus additional post graduate courses in Computer Sciences at the University of Texas – San Antonio and St. Mary’s University, San Antonio.

 

He was previously listed in Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.

 

His work experience includes systems design, engineering, capacity planning, computer programming, disaster recovery planning and network planning and operations for government, private enterprise and the telephone industry.

He’s lectured at conferences, taught seminars for Business Communications Review (BCR), and instructed college level courses at The University of Texas (San Antonio).
