Topic: Successes and Failures of the Flying Car

Bio: Sanjay Dhall is the Founder of Detroit Flying Cars, and founder of Emergent Systems Corp. After departing SDRC (now Siemens PLM) and F ord support in the late 90s, Sanjay launched Emergent Systems to provide innovative new product design, engineering, and product development services for automotive, aerospace, wind energy and consumer goods industries. Auros Knowledge Systems is a recent spin off to provide a system for “knowledge aware” decision making in large automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing companies.

Sanjay is an avid inventor and holds numerous patents in areas of aerospace, medical devices, consumer goods, product engineering and knowledge management. His work shows a flair for

finding creative expression in engineered products. He is particularly interested in introducing new approaches, bridging diverse domains, small footprint thinking and seeking efficiencies.

Sanjay has had a lifelong passion for designing, building and flying models and full size aircraft. This passion in aerospace design and a desire to bridge the divide between road and air led into Detroit Flying Cars, where he is working on making the flying car a reality.

Sanjay studied business at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
