Electrical Safety Week by Dept. of Electrical Engg. of JSPM's RSCOE in association with with MSEDCL, Pune Branch.
On the occasion Electrical Safety Week, Department of Electrical Engineering, JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering (An Autonomous Institute, Affiliated to SPPU) Pune organized various programs from 14th January to 16th January in association with MSEDCL, Pune Branch. The programs started with Electrical Safety rally in college campus followed by skit on Electrical safety.
A Poster competition and exhibition on Electrical Safety was organized to create awareness among college students. Further Dr. Santosh Patani, Mr. Abhay Kedari, Mr. Pushkar Chaudhari, Mr. Aniruddha Kapare from MSEDCL guided students of Third year of Electrical Engineering about Electrical safety audit of commercial building and HV lines in urban and rural area. Electrical Engineering students also conducted Awareness session at Blossom Public School and Sonigara Vihar Housing Society, Adarshanagar to sensitize young generation and citizens about Electrical Safety. Also safety audit of Sonigara Vihar Housing Society and HV lines in Tathawade area was conducted by students of third year Electrical Engineering. Total 250 students from RSCOE participated in this event. Chief Guest Dr. Santosh Patani, Dy. Engineer, MSEDCL, Smart Training Center, Prakashbhavan, Pune inaugurated the event and addressed the audience about the importance Electrical safety for the endurance of human beings. Vice Principal Prof. A. S. Devasthali addressed about expansion of such programs to further levels of society. Kamlakar Unhalkar (Director, JSPM) guided about applying safety rules during day to day life. Head of Training and Placement Mr. S P RaoBorde, heads of various departments, faculty members and school teachers appreciated the event significantly.
