As part of our ongoing commitment to support women in engineering, we were invited to attend Advancing Women In Stem initiative launched by YES, three years ago, in order to address barriers that disproportionately affect the advancement and retention of women in STEM industries. We were happy to receive YES invitation this year as a valued member of their community, in order to attend a dynamic evening networking and discussion supported by Women and Gender Equality Canada. We discussed the outcome of the 3-year project, lessons learned and recommendations with leaders from three pilot companies – Gsoft, IC Axon, a Division of GP Canada and OneSpan.
