CSA Z463-18 Maintenance of Electrical Systems is a National Standard of Canada, recognized across the country as the baseline for measuring good-quality electrical maintenance programs. This standard was published in August 2018 for the first time. It helps ensure the reliability of critical safety systems protecting people and prevention of losses (due to electrical discharges, fires, and explosions). Compliance with CSA Z463 will help improve safety for workers, protection of the public, and the safeguarding of property through the adoption and systematic application of maintenance strategies for electrical equipment.

Topic:

Electrical Risk Assessment Methodology in the context of CSA Z463 Standard

In this slide presentation, I will share an electrical equipment & systems risk assessment methodology and case study that demonstrate an online systematic approach, necessary resources, and team effort that work together remotely for Company managers who are in the process of reorganizing their company's mandate and procedures during these COVID trying times. The purpose is to facilitate the enhancement of the company's electrical maintenance program, highlight conditions that could lead to a loss,  and meet the new CSA Z463 Standard risk assessment requirements, for workplace safety improvements.
