Winnipeg Section Executive Meeting
Welcome to the 2020/2021 program season!
It's a season like none we've seen before... and hope not to repeat. But, we will get through it!
A virtual executive meeting is scheduled for for Thursday, August 20th, from 5:30 to 6:30. At Phil Ferguson's suggestion, we will meet on Zoom. Zoom has better performance for rural bandwidth constrained users like him, so we'll give it a try.
The Zoom meeting link & credentials are not posted publicly on this calendar notice (hoping to avoid "ZoomBombing"). Contact Chair Dean Weiten or Secretary Trevor Brown to get meeting credentials. Executive members can also provide the meeting details if you request them.
As I think I've said in the past, please be patient during virtual meetings. We have all used this technology for years to communicate in small groups, but for many of us, we haven't used it as much for formal and business meetings.
1. You do not need to show your camera/video/picture, this is entirely optional.
2. Mute your microphone as much as possible when you aren't actually speaking.
3. If the meeting has technical difficulties, we will try to reconnect. If after 10 minutes, we have not re-established the meeting, please consider the meeting adjourned.
4. If the meeting does not start on time, please be patient - but if it has not started within 15 minutes of the planned time, please consider the meeting cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
If the meeting is cancelled or adjourned, then either the Chair or the Secretary will be in touch with the executive and other attendees, as to the disposition of the meeting and the items on its agenda.
