Shutter Bug
ShutterBug was the flagship non-technical event organized by IEEE BKBIET SB. The aim was to increase the IEEE BKBIET social media outreach among the IEEE members and non-IEEE students. The ShutterBug was a theme-based photography event in which the participant had to send an entry based on the theme, entry was posted on the IEEE BKBIET social media handles (Facebook & Instagram) on which the participants had to gather maximum likes on their respective entry and also need to gain up to maximum followers to the social media handles. Jury for the judgment of the entries on various criteria was formed, who judged and declared the winners of the contest. This ShutterBug contest made an enhancement in social media outreach. There were 60+ entries for the event out of which 2 were declared as winners. The purpose of this event was the increase the reach for the upcoming technical events.
