iTryRobotic Zoom Workshop #1: LEGO EV3 Mindstorm Robot Kit for FIRST LEGO League
IEEE MIT Undergraduate Research Technology Conference 2020 is proud to host an iTryRobotic workshop. This workshop will introduce the world of robotics to children 8-12 years of age by guiding them on how to use the LEGO EV3 Mindstorm robot kit to build and program a robot. For those students who want to know more about the FIRST LEGO League (FLL), or those who are participating this year FLL "RePlay" season, they can learn the experience from the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams Blue Box 11780 and Banana Box 16169. Both teams have participated the FLL programs for many years.
The children also will have the opportunity to develop creative designs to solve engineering challenges. These skills lay a strong foundation for future study in Computer Science and Engineering, Math, Mechanical Engineering and other STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) related subject areas.
Workshop for: 3rd to 8th grade children
Fee: An adult registration is required for each child. There is no child fee if one of the parents is an IEEE member.
Parent, please enter your child's full name, age and gender on the "Special Requests" entry box.
Fee for non-member's child = $20
