Joint Control Policies for a Hybrid Production Service System Under Servitilized Manufacturing Paradigm

Abstract: Servitilized Manufacturing is a new manufacturing Paradigm derived from the integration of manufacturing and services. It is of great significance to enhance the competitiveness of manufacturing industry and promote the development of service industry. This talk focuses on a key problem of operation management of servitilized manufacturing, joint control policies for a hybrid production and service system. First talk formulates the problem as MDP and presents joint control policy for the problem. Then the talk extends the problem to that with customer behaviour being considered and put forwards the joint control policy accordingly. Finally, a summary is made, and the further research work is outlined in the presentation.

 

Biography: Dr. Zhibin JIANG is Dean of Institute of Industrial & System Engineering and Distinguished Professor of Antai College of Economics and Management，Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He obtained his Ph. D. degree in Manufacturing Engineering & Engineering Management from City University of Hong Kong in 1999. He is Changjiang Scholar Program Chair Professor of MOE China and Fellow of Institute of Industrial & System Engineers (IISE). He is Vice President of Chinese Industrial Engineering Society, Vice President of the Advisory Committee of IE Undergraduate Programs of MOE China, and Regional VP of IISE for Asia. He has finished or is undertaking 3 NSFC funded key projects, 8 NSFC funded projects, and over 20 other China national projects. He has also published about 300 papers and authored 5 books.
