ABSTRACT:

We are witnessing rapid advancement in disruptive technology such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), wireless technology and security and others that will enable building and providing tools with multiple applications.  However, with Covid-19, the world has witnessed early 2020 and for over a year a disruption to our normal daily life. Work, school, medical services, transportation, shopping, gyms, restaurants, entertainment, travel, conferences, and many others are being redefined.  In many cases, technology have shifted and accelerated to what is urgent. IoT and AI have become innovative to address these new challenges with great levels of creativity and innovation.

Mr. Behmann will touch briefly upon Covid-19 and worldwide impact and then address some areas of technology such as sensing, wearables, mobile devices, smart tools, and systems.  He will walk through some examples and welcomes the opportunity for audience discussion.  His talk will conclude looking at the future as to how technology will help improve quality of life and business operations.

 

BIO:

Mr. Fawzi Behmann has over 35 years in industry and held various executive and leadership positions with Tier 1 companies in the areas of communications & networks spanning semiconductor, communication systems and service providers.

Mr. Behmann founded TelNet Management Consulting Inc. in 2009 offering consulting services in the areas of technology trends, positioning and development of smart networking ecosystem solutions.  He explores disruptive technology enablement such as IoT, 5G, virtualization, big data/analytics, and security across multiple markets.

He is the chair for Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) 2022 and has organized several events such as smart city summit (2019), Blockchain for Healthcare (2018) and Greentech of Smart Cities (2018) and Advanced technologies in Healthcare (2017).  Mr. Behmann has been a keynote speaker at several conferences, distinguished lecturer at different domestic and international events and organized panel session at Globecom, International Conference on Communications (ICC), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Biomedical Health Informatics (BHI), Smart connected cities, Enterprise IoT, and others.
