Workshop on Internet of Things
The IEEE-SB GEU Dehradun (STB06701) organized the “Workshop on Internet of Things” on 13th February 2021. The event was organized by GEU IEEE STUDENT BRANCH, Department of Computer Science and Engineering & Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs), Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India, held at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. This Workshop was mainly intended for students currently doing research work, projects and those who are interested to take up projects in the field of IoT.
Dr. Priya Matta, Associate Professor (IEEE Student Branch Counselor), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, addressed the students and encouraged them to participate in such technical workshops. She also made them aware of emerging trends and applications of IoT.
50+ students from various organizations have participated in the workshop. Out of these, 35+ participants were IEEE members.
Mr Piyush Agarwal, Assistant Professor, CSE, GEU Dehradun, India, was the speaker of the workshop. He started the workshop explaining the fundamentals of IoT. He also elaborated the concepts of sensors and Arduino kit. He gave hands-on-experience on the Arduino kit. He concluded his lecture by a brief discussion on research trends on IoT.
Prof. (Dr.) D. P. Singh, Head of Department, gave vote of thanks and spoke about the importance of the workshop and encouraged the scholars and students to participate in such events.
