They are something bigger. The Crane Battery Innovation Center is exploring applications for batteries that are non-traditional and breakthrough technology evolutions.

Ben Wrightsman
Batteries: How they are changing our world!
Biography:
Ben Wrightsman is an innovative, strategic industry executive with over 20 years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, custom electronics, battery and energy storage, and new product development companies. He has a passion for finding and utilizing untapped resources and capabilities within a company to open up new opportunities for growth and revenue generation with global experience. Ben’s diverse background in executive leadership, engineering, business and product development, operations, and global supply chain gives him a broad range of understating and experience to address problems at all levels of the organization. He has held key positions with one of industry’s leading electronics contract manufacturers, large format lithium battery manufacturer, advanced energy and infrastructure technology firm, along with owning and advising several small businesses. Ben attended Purdue University at Indianapolis, majoring in Electrical Engineering. At PUI he was co-captain of the Electric JAG (Indy) Car Team. He is APICS-CPIM accredited, received Lushin President’s Training Certification, and is a proud Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt. He has also served on the advisory board for the Indiana IoT lab, CareBand, 5G Zone, Next Level Manufacturing Institute, and Eclipse Energy Labs. Ben enjoys spending time working on STEM projects with his family (especially those with batteries), adventure motorcycle riding, racing, and other outdoor activities in his free time.
