Pikes Peak LMAG February Virtual Meeting
Unsettled Book Summary
My Take on Climate Change
David Bondurant, Retired PE
Pikes Peak Life Member Affinity Group Chair
LMAG Activities Coordinator
I have observed deceptive marketing statements by the media, politicians, and environmental movement since 1970 which have led me to question “The Science”. The techniques of Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) and Lying with Statistics are used daily in the press. The 2021 Book, “Unsettled” by Steven E. Koonin, a former Under Secretary of Science at the Department of Energy during the Obama administration, provide a significantly more detailed review of Climate Science along with recommendations by this expert in the field. In this talk, I summarize the book along with extensive data graphs extracted by the author from UN IPPCC and National Climate Assessment reports.
