Dr. Alex Panchula, Electric Hydrogen (EH2): Engineering the End of Natural Gas
Natural Gas has been characterized as a bridge fuel. However, to complete the energy transition to a net zero emissions, we will need to substantially move away from methane as a major source of energy. Fossil-Free hydrogen is anticipated to be a major contributor to the energy mix particularly in major industrial sectors that require both the energy and atomic properties of hydrogen. I will present the necessary ingredients needed to create a fossil-free hydrogen energy system that is capable of engineering the end of natural gas.
