A Hands-on Session on an IOT application using LoRaWAN

Student Members of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society successfully organized a Hands-on Session on IOT application using LoRaWAN on 7 October 2022 at JSS ACADEMY OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION, NOIDA. The event saw a participation of around 60 people. Dr. Gayatri Shakya - IEEE RAS Chapter Advisor, honored the event with her warm welcome speech. Later the session was headed by the Guest Speaker, Mr. Harsh Sharma– An engineer at Touch TECHNO having experience of more than a year in the domain of Embedded Systems, IoT & LoRaWAN technology.

In the Hand-on Session participants gained an understanding of:

• Introduction To IoT, Architecture, and Blockchain.
• Introduction to LoRaWAN, Device Classes
• LoRaWAN Network Architecture
• Integration of IoT and LoRaWAN with LoRaWAN IoT development kit
• Cloud Platforms like the ThingsNetwork, ThingsSpeak, and ThingsMate and their integration with Arduino using LoRaWAN

Under the guidance of Dr. Gayatri Shakya, with Mr. Harsh Sharma’s expertise and experience, and with the active participation of participants throughout, the event turned out to be a great success. Before Concluding the event IEEE RAS JSSATEN Team gifted Mr. Harsh Sharma a figurine of the Hindu deity. (Invoice attached herewith)
