                                                                            GIS Day Celebration at CEPT University

On the occasion of GIS Day on 12th November 2022, the IEEE Student Branch of CEPT University welcomes you all to be a part of our event 
“NAKSHAASTRA - Storytelling through maps" 


The Faculty of Technology at CEPT University along with IEEE GRSS Gujarat Chapter, and ISRS Ahmedabad Chapter, invites you to participate in a very interactive workshop on Story Maps by ESRI INDIA followed by a "Story Maps & Poster Making Competition”


EVENT DETAILS:
Workshop Timing: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM (before lunch)
          Interactive workshop by ESRI India on how to make story maps using their software.

Competition:  01:30 PM to 04:00 PM (after lunch)
         1. Story Maps Competition: 
                   Eligibility: College Students [UG, PG] - Any branch
                   Creating a Story Map based on any one of the themes. Participants have to bring their own data and maps for the competition.

          2. Poster Making Competition (using Satellite images)
                   Eligibility: 9th – 12th students
                   Participants are required to submit a single poster that uses satellite data such as Google Earth images. Contestants are free to use any satellite image of any location within India.

The themes for the event are common for both competitions and are as follows:
     1. Urban issues
     2. Climate change 
     3. Disaster management 
     4. Natural resource management – Agriculture, Water, forest, geosciences etc.
     5. Know your city – Culture, Heritage, Tourism, Cuisine, and Festivals.
