Please register for the meeting so we can have an accurate count for refreshments. Refreshments will be on the order of pizza, salad, soft drinks, etc.
The meeting will be held on the Eastern Florida State College Cocoa campus, and the building and meeting room is are wheelchair accessible. The link to the map will show the address of Building 14 at 1744 Rosetine St, Cocoa, FL 32926. The address on the flyer is for the EFSC main entrance off of Clearlake Ave.

Mr. John Scott of Brevard County Emergency Management
The Emergency Operations Center of Brevard County, Florida
Mr. John Scott will talk to us about the Emergency Operations Center for Brevard County, Florida. Scott has been involved in emergency management since 2007, and is the current president of the Florida Emergency Management Association. As emergency management director, Scott is involved in emergency management operations, 800-megahertz radio systems and 9-1-1 systems administration.
Biography:
A native of Florida and Brevard County, John Scott has worked for Brevard County’s Emergency Management Department for eleven years, functioning in a variety of different roles, across a multitude of programmatic areas, and now serves as the director. Mr. Scott has responded to floods, wildfires, COVID-19 pandemic, the Haiti Earthquake, Deep Water Horizon oil spill, radiological space launches, and countless tropical storms and hurricanes. Previously, Mr. Scott worked for Monroe County Emergency Management as the Senior Planner, and the Florida Division of Emergency Management as the Region 7 Coordinator. John holds the designation of Florida Professional Emergency Manager from the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association, where he served 7 years on their Executive Committee, including two terms as President.
