2023 IEEE Toledo Institute Night
The IEEE Toledo Section invites you to our annual Institute Night! Join us for networking, dinner, technical presentation & PDH, awards, and the section's annual election results.
This year we join Urban Pine Winery and self-described "Power Geek" Robin Priestley for networking, dinner, and discussion of industrial power quality. One PDH will be provided to those attending Robin's presentation.
New for 2023
We are excited to announce that the entirety of this year's Institute Night registration fees will be donated to support the University of Toledo IEEE Student Section! A 50-50 drawing will be held following our technical presentation with proceeds to the same.
Registration can be paid online using PayPal or credit card, or in-person with cash.

Robin Priestley of Nidec Industrial Solutions
Power Quality
Robin is one of only 150 practicing CPQ, Certified Power Quality professionals in the world, and is also a CEM, Certified Energy Manager. Robin has been involved with every aspect of energy and power control. Robin was a qualified EOOW, Engineering Officer Of the Watch, for various naval generation and propulsion systems in the U. S. Navy. He continues his service in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Branch Chief on the National Staff. Robin has designed drive systems and developed solutions for complex, “impossible” technical problems across the United States. Robin is a gifted speaker on technical subjects, E.G., IEEE, ASHRAE, MREC, MiPSYCON and has created and delivered training for rescue teams and the IHRA. All have enjoyed his unique style. Presently, Robin is employed by the Nidec Motor Corporation as Director, Client Sustainability.
