Abhignatha'23
IEEE Jayamukhi Student Branch, established on December 2, 2005, in Hyderabad, has grown to nearly 90 members from diverse sectors including industry, academia, and research. The branch is known for its focused activities in various technical domains, facilitated through seminars, workshops, and technical talks. It includes affinity groups like GOLD, WIE, and societies such as IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Power and Energy Society, and IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
The Women in Engineering (WIE) student branch affinity group (SBAG) was formed in 2011, inaugurated by Ms. Madhumitha Chakravarthy.
Abhignatha, the annual national-level technical fest of IEEE Jayamukhi, started in 2010, aims to enhance management and communication skills, motivating students across various engineering disciplines. The fest encourages innovative, environmentally sustainable, and economically viable engineering solutions. The theme for Abhignatha'23, scheduled for November 24-25, 2023, at Jayamukhi Institute of Technological Sciences, is "INNOVATE – INSPIRE - ILLUMINATE". The objective is to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
Key speakers include Saka Shailaja, a Dalit entrepreneur and founder of Rojas Industries, known for empowering underprivileged women in Telangana, and Mahesh Nirati, Vice Chair of IEEE Hyderabad Section and Senior Analyst at HCLTech, renowned for his leadership and technical expertise.
Abhignatha'23 features a range of technical and cultural activities, including presentations, a project expo, and technical quizzes. It provides a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and skills.
Event highlights include a technical session on AI and ML by Prof.T.Shivraman from NITW, a hands-on session by Indrajith Ekanyake from Sri Lanka, and a guest lecture on cybersecurity by Mahesh Nirati in the closing ceremony.
