Daniel Pereira of MPA-11
Machine Learning for Quantitative Ultrasound: a case study on acoustic spectra
Biography:
Daniel Pereira was born in Brazil, in 1986. He received the B.Sc. degree in materials engineering and the M.Sc. degree in materials and metallurgy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2011 and 2014, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the École de Technologie Supérieure, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2019. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory. His current research interests include non-destructive testing, numerical simulations, signal processing and machine learning.
