Invited Talk: Wireless Technology Solutions for Connected and Immersive Ecosystem

Abstract: Wireless technology is becoming a crucial enabler for more connected and immersive experiences. In this talk, we review the essential recent communication and networking developments that underpin future immersive services, such as augmented, virtual, and extreme reality, beyond-5G infrastructures to support increasingly demanding applications, and distributed learning methods over heterogeneous data. Particularly demanded today, these innovative solutions promise to foster decisive progress in the next-generation networked systems and services.

Sergey Andreev

Biography:

Sergey Andreev is a professor of wireless communications and Academy Research Fellow at Tampere University, Finland. He has been a Visiting Senior Research Fellow with King's College London, UK and a Visiting Postdoc with University of California, Los Angeles, US. He received his Ph.D. from TUT as well as his Specialist, Cand.Sc., and Dr.Habil. degrees from SUAI. He served as associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, as lead series editor of the IoT Series for IEEE Communications Magazine, and as editor for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters. He (co-)authored more than 300 published research works on intelligent IoT, mobile communications, and heterogeneous networking.
