Tornadoes, massive flooding, typhoons, ice and snow storms. How do we predict weather trends using satellites? Find out today!

Join us for a session on weather satellites. How are we forecasting and tracking these events such as tornadoes, ice storms, hurricanes and torrential downpours (flooding) using weather satellites? What is the technical engineering behind this science? How are we using weather balloons, satellites and tracking towers to follow these severe weather patterns? What kind of devices are we using to check humidity, pressure and temperature? What has changed over the last 20 years? Early warnings for tsunamis, tornadoes, wind shear, earthquakes and hurricanes. How is this saving lives?

Topic:

IEEE Weather Satellites

Join us for an adventure to Lower Earth Orbit to discover the latest in Weather Satellites.  Weather satellites are specialized Earth-orbiting satellites that monitor atmospheric conditions and provide data for weather forecasting, climate research, and natural disaster monitoring. They observe cloud patterns, storm formations, ocean temperatures, and other meteorological phenomena, transmitting images and data back to ground stations in near-real time.
