Astronomical observation and astro-tourism workshop
The Optics Student Chapter of the EPN, Yachay Tech, the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH) and the Emmy Noether Physics Club are organizing the IV Workshop on Astronomical Observation and Astrophotography (IV TOAA). This event, which serves to promote astronomical tourism in Ecuador, represents the continuation of three successful editions held in the community of San Juan, province of Chimborazo.
In a change of venue from previous years, the IV TOAA will be held in the canton of San Miguel, Bolivar province, specifically at the Yagüi Urco viewpoint. The event is open to the public and will offer both theoretical and practical knowledge. The program will include instruction on the use of basic optical telescopes, as well as orientation on the location and identification of stars, constellations and planets visible from the region. In addition, there will be an introduction to astrophotography techniques using cell phones, offering participants the opportunity to capture images of the night sky.
