You use Linux on a day to day basis. Whether its an Android phone, Smart TV, or the the internet. Linux is an open source, flexible, secure operating system, which is why so many companies use it. From the big companies such as Google and NASA to the local companies such as JCA Electronics and Wabtec. Join us to learn more about the Linux Operating sytem and get hands on experience with its command line terminal.
Learn the basics of a Linux machine: the history, the file structure, basics, commands, etc. We will walk through a Linux machine using an Ubuntu 18 virtual machine in VirutalBox. Beginners are welcome!

A few questions during presentation:
- What spec's should I use when setting up VM for raspberry pi?
- If you want to make a virtual raspberry pi, then I would again use the upper green limits when choosing the hardware specifications. https://www.howtogeek.com/run-a-raspberry-pi-in-virtualbox/
- If you want to put linux on a raspberry pi, I found this tutorial (for Ubuntu...): https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/how-to-install-ubuntu-desktop-on-raspberry-pi-4#1-overview There are also tutorial if you want it to be an Ubuntu Server or Ubuntu Core.
- Is Wine still relevant?
- Background: Wine is compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD
- While I haven't used Wine, it's still relevant. They are actively making release as recent as November of this year: https://www.winehq.org/. Not sure how compatible it is with all Window applications.
