Faculty Development Programme on Intelligent Antenna Technologies

The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (Madras Chapter), in association with S.A. Engineering College and its Departments of ECE, CSBS, CSE (AIML), and IQAC, organized a one-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from December 23 to 30, 2024.

Themed "Intelligent Antenna Technologies: The Role of AI and ML in Wireless and Biomedical Applications," the FDP brought together leading experts to deliver impactful sessions.

The resource persons included:

Dr. S. Raghavan, Professor, NIT, Trichy

Dr. T. Shanmuganathan, Professor, Pondicherry Central University

Dr. Brindha Saminathan, Professor, St. Joseph's College of Engineering

Dr. R. Narmadha, Professor, Sathyabama University

Dr. G. Sai Narayanan, General Manager, HCL Technologies

Dr. S. Ashok Kumar, Professor, NIT Trichy

Other notable speakers were Dr. M. Gulam Nabi Alhasan, Dr. M. Susila, Mr. Swapnil Gaul, Dr. P. Kalpana Devi, Dr. Usha Kiran, and Dr. T. Annalakshmi.

The sessions explored topics like AI and ML integration in antenna design, wireless communication, and biomedical systems. The program was structured with lectures and interactive discussions to ensure knowledge sharing and hands-on learning.

The registration fee was ₹300 for IEEE members and ₹600 for non-IEEE members. Participants gained valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies, fostering skill enhancement and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Organized under the guidance of Mr. S. Venkat and Mr. A. Karunakaran, the event was a resounding success, equipping faculty members with advanced knowledge to integrate AI/ML techniques in antenna technologies.
