Synopsis:

The rapid evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming industries by enabling scalable, low-power sensor networks. This talk explores how ultra-low-power and battery-free sensors drive innovation in industrial applications such as smart parking and precision agriculture. In urban environments, these sensors provide real-time parking availability while monitoring street-level microclimates, contributing to smarter and more efficient cities. In agriculture, plant-mounted sensors capture environmental conditions and plant health metrics, enabling data-driven farming for improved yield and sustainability.
