On account of PES DAY 2025, the BMSCE IEEE PES & Sensors Council, in collaboration with
Pentagram, proudly organized Watt’s the limit – a uniquely curated event that blended the worlds of
mathematics and electricity into a fun and intellectually stimulating challenge.
Event Overview:
In round 1 participants were presented with a series of images and had to correctly identify the word associated with
them.
In round 2 there were 3 sub-rounds

A memory game based on Ohm’s Law
A numerical problem-solving segment, where the solution needed to be matched by designing an
equivalent resistor network using standard resistor values.
A sharads game where you basically enact and draw and your partner have to guess the correct word

In round 3 participants stepped into the shoes of green-tech investors.
Teams were given cryptic company clues, hinting at potential risk and reward ,they had to decide when, where,
and how much to invest in sustainable energy startups based on logic, analysis, and instinct.

Event Highlights:
● A fusion of mathematical logic, electrical engineering principles, and strategic thinking.
● Promoted real-time problem-solving through visual, conceptual, and investment-based challenges.
● Encouraged creativity and performance, with participants even showcasing acting skills during select rounds to
present ideas or clues.

Impact Made:
● Reinforced understanding of key electricity concepts like Ohm’s Law, resistor combinations, and power
calculations.
● Sharpened analytical, mathematical, and logical reasoning skills.
● Broadened general knowledge about historic figures in science and mathematics.
● Fostered smart investing habits, drawing parallels between analytical thinking and financial decision-making.

Participant Feedback:
The event received enthusiastic praise from attendees for its creative structure and interdisciplinary approach.
Participants appreciated the balance between technical content and fun, with many highlighting how it helped them
better understand and apply concepts in a practical and engaging format
