Topic:

How to be Successful in Your Career

Leslie Martinich will describe the skills you need, in addition to your technical skills, to be successful in your career.

Biography:

Leslie Martinich, a computer scientist who began her career writing operating systems, compilers, and advanced communication software, led her team to deliver the first commercially available ground-breaking Remote Procedure Call (RPC) software. She was a developer for IBM, Novell, and Compaq.

In the middle of her career, she made a pivotal realization: project failures weren't due to technical hurdles, but rather rooted in managerial and leadership challenges. Determined to rectify this deficiency, she built leadership training programs which she has presented across 6 continents (sorry, Antarctica!), focused on innovation and preparing effective leaders. She instills engaged leadership skills that resonate with the aspirations of today's young tech professionals and entrepreneurs. Her training programs benefit not only from her background as a computer scientist, but also from her use of real industry scenarios to engage her audience.

Leslie's mission is to empower organizations to build trusting cultures. Here’s why: Trusted and engaged leaders empower teams, reduce turnover, and create both employee and customer loyalty.
