Stewart of Powerlink Queensland
An Insight into the Queensland Transmission Network
Biography:
Stewart is an experienced executive with more than 30 years in the electricity industry. He has held senior management roles across Powerlink including operations, procurement, network regulation, project design and delivery, asset management and network planning.
As Executive General Manager Operations and Planning, Stewart is responsible for leading Powerlink’s strategic and 24/7 real-time network operations, telecommunication services, operational technology, energy markets and network planning functions. His team has enabled the connection of over 8,000 MW of new generation and storage projects which are operational or under construction in Queensland.
Stewart is also a member of the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) Reliability Panel.
