We are proud to announce the inauguration ceremony of the IEEE PELS Student Branch Chapter (SBC60030787A) at Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, TKRCET.
IEEE PEL35-TKRCET HYDERBAD is a student chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) under Power electronics Society, HYDERBAD Section. The Power Electronics Society is one of the fastest growing technical societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). For over 35 years, PELS has facilitated and guided the development and innovation in power electronics technology. This technology encompasses the effective use of electronic components, the application of circuit theory and design techniques, and the development of analytical tools toward efficient conversion, control and condition of electric power. Student chapters offer the opportunity for PELS members in local areas to network with
colleagues, develop activities for professional development, and share expertise through technical exchange. We are a student-run organization at the TKRCET HYDERABAD our motives are to find ourselves and our passions, to have fun and meet new people, gather new experiences, to learn industrial skills to enhance ourselves, to learn about research and innovation in technology, to help our community and to get inspired to change the world!
Upholding the vital scientific and educational aspects of power electronics and its applications.·Keeping its members around the globe up to date on state-of-the-art technological·Developments and advances in power electronics research.·It also provides a forum to discuss about the recent developments of power electronic based Technologies. ·The student chapter is actively involved to arrange workshops, technical talks, Seminar, Webinars ,Hakathon and other activities

Dr.Siva Kumar Ganjikunta

Ganjikunta Siva Kumar (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool, India, in 2001, the M.Tech. degree in power electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering, Hyderabad, India, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India, in 2013. Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. His research interests include power quality, renewable energy systems, multilevel inverters, and AC microgrids. Dr. Siva Kumar is currently the Chair (Slate 2024 to till date) of the PES/IAS/PELS Joint Chapter of IEEE Hyderabad Section, India, having previously held roles such as Vice Chair (2023, 2022, 2021), Treasurer (2020), and Executive Committee Member (2018, 2019) within the same chapter. In recognition of his Ph.D. work, he was the recipient of the POSOCO Power System Award in 2013 from the Power Grid Corporation of India and the Foundation for Innovative and Technology Transfer, IIT Delhi, India.2013- Assistant professor nit warangal
