Mini-Project Demonstration

The IEEE Student Branch at Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, organized a Mini Project Demonstration on 25.03.2025 at the ECE Project Laboratory. The event provided students with a platform to showcase their innovative projects and technical expertise. The session was judged by esteemed professors, Dr. R. Vanithamani (Professor / BMIE) and Dr. P. Amutha (Professor / CSE), who evaluated the projects based on creativity, feasibility, and implementation.
The event began with a brief introduction to the significance of project-based learning and its role in developing problem-solving skills. Participants presented their projects with working prototypes, explaining their design, hardware components, and real-world applications. The demonstration covered various domains of Electronics and Communication Engineering, including wireless communication, automation, IoT-based applications, and embedded systems.
The session was highly interactive, with judges providing valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement. Students also had the opportunity to discuss their challenges and gain insights into refining their ideas for future advancements. The event encouraged teamwork, innovation, and technical excellence, strengthening students' interest in research and development.One of the key highlights of the session was the Smart Sakura project, which focused on elder safety using wearable technology. The judges appreciated the practical application of this project and its potential for real-world impact. Other projects also showcased the students’ technical proficiency and creativity
